Portal cranes are widely used in the operations of major ports and terminals due to their flexibility, adaptability, and high efficiency. Daily maintenance and inspection of portal cranes can be performed from the following points:

ree

1. Check the wear of the brake shoes on each mechanism, the installation and fixation of each pin, as well as the wear and lubrication of each pin, and the operating condition of the brakes.

2. Check the contactor and controller contacts for burnout and contact, and the lubrication of the cam and roller shafts.

3. Check the transmission of each mechanism and verify that the sound is normal.

4. Check the wear of wire ropes that have been in operation for more than six months.

5. Check the connection bolts of the crane coupling for proper fit.

6. Inspect the lifting mechanism of the dual-brake system and check the torque of each brake.

7. Check all lubricated parts and perform regular lubrication as required to ensure the equipment is in good lubrication condition.

8. Thoroughly clean the crane to remove any dirt and eliminate any oil leaks in the reducer. In addition, timely maintenance work is also the basis for ensuring the normal operation of the portal crane.
